Canadian Association of Members of Public Utility Tribunals
CAMPUT is a self-supporting, non-profit organization of federal, provincial, and territorial boards and commissions which are responsible for the regulation of the electric, water, gas, and pipeline utilities in Canada. Some CAMPUT members are also responsible for the regulation of matters such as automobile insurance. Our purpose is to improve public utility regulation in Canada and the education and training of commissioners and staff of public utility tribunals. Associate membership in CAMPUT is available to public utility tribunals or commissions from countries other than Canada. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) of the United States of America, and the Comisión Reguladora de Energía (CRE) in Mexico are associate members of CAMPUT.
